According to his biography, Daniel Day-Lewis became an Irish citizen in 1993 and hold dual citizenship. This information, however, in no way precludes me from being a fool.

Concur. The first two posters are in denial. However, his craziness and lesbianostic traits don't preclude him from being a decent actor.
Would it kill this guy to lighten up and do a COMEDY for once?
Everything he does has to be this painful, scenery chewing, angst-ridden Method actor crap.
Calm down, everyone. He obviously looks like an old lesbian in that image. It doesn't matter about other images (he usually looks okay, but did look a tad strange at the Oscars).

Did you see his brown shoes at the Oscars? Black tux, brown suede (I think) shoes. I'll bet money they were comfortable brown shoes.
It's the hoop earrings. One I can understand but two just pushed him over the edge right into lesbianism.
