I do believe he is a Political Commentator as well as a panel member of a program on NPR.
He drives all the other male lesbians to their meet ups.
Yeah, he used to be on the Daily Show, but now he just goes around on various D-List panels (VH1's "I Love the *", "Iron Chef America", etc.) He's never funny and he shouldn't be working.
It's what he doesn't do that's important here. Which is being funny.
He wrote a book called "All the President's Dogs" which I haven't read. Neither has my spouse to whom I gave it for Xmas a few years ago. I don't think I'll get much for it on Amazon.

The secret of Mo Rocca's career? He used to write Wishbone, the kids' TV show about a dog who would act out books like Treasure Island and Pride and Prejudice. Seeing a dog Darcy trying to woo a human female is pretty startling.
